브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 최근 5년간 명절 연휴 고속도로 교통사고가 가장 자주 발생한 곳은 ‘경부선’으로 나타났다 .
민홍철 더불어민주당 의원이 한국도로공사로부터 제출받은 자료에 따르면 2018년부터 2023년 7 월까지 설·추석 명절 연휴 기간 발생한 고속도로 교통사고는 모두 199건(사망 13명·부상 80명)으로 조사됐다.
노선별로는 경부선이 41건으로 사고가 가장 많았고, 서해안선과 중부내륙선이 각 17건, 영동선·중부선이 16·15건으로 그 뒤를 이었다.
사고 원인별로는 ‘주시 태만’이 88건으로 전체 사고의 44.2%를 차지했다. 이어 과속이 30건, 졸음운전이 27건을 기록했다.
