브레이크뉴스 박정대 기자= 한국 불교 태고종이 코로나19 이후 3년여간 중단된 한중 불교 교류의 새로운 장을 열었다.
상진 총무원장을 단장으로 한 태고종 중국 방문단은 24일 중국 외교부와 종교사무국, 중국 불교협회 등의 초청으로 중국을 방문했다.
방문단은 이날 오후 장자제(張家界)시 장자제화천대주점 회의실에서 장자제(張家界)시 인민정부가 마련한 한중 불교 교류 간담회에 참석했다.
이날 간담회에는 태고종에서 상진 총무원장, 능해 행정부원장, 원오 사서실장, 도휘 사회부장, 진화 규정부장, 정각 총무국장, 권기식 국제교류자문위원장 등 방문단 전원이 참석했고, 장자제시에서는 리젠리(李建麗) 외사부주임, 왕레이(王磊) 민족종교국 국장, 샹화(向华) 장자제시 불교협회 부회장, 쓰룽성(釋容勝) 천문산사 주지 등이 참석했다.
상진 총무원장은 "한국 불교의 대표 종단인 태고종이 코로나19 이후 막혔던 한중 불교 교류의 새로운 장을 열기 위해 중국을 방문했다"며 "뿌리가 같은 한중 불교계가 서로 교류하고 합심해 부처님의 가피 아래 평화롭고 태평한 세계를 만들어 나가자"고 말했다.
리젠리 장자제시 외사부주임은 "한국 불교 태고종 중국 방문단의 장자제시 방문을 환영한다"며 "장자제시는 태고종과 장자제시 불교협회와의 교류를 적극 지지한다"고 말했다.
쓰룽성 천문산사 주지는 "10여년전 한국을 방문해 한국 불교의 발전과 성장에 큰 감동을 받았다"며 "한중 불교계가 합심해 한중 우호의 길을 열어나가자"고 말했다.
태고종 방문단은 쓰룽성 주지의 초청으로 25일 오전 천문산사를 방문해 대웅전에서 예불을 올리고 쓰룽성 주지 등 관계자들과 한중 불교 교류에 대해 환담했다.
천문산사는 1300여년전 당나라 때 천문산 정상(1518m)에 세워진 천년고찰이며, 부처님 진신사리를 봉안한 중국 10대 사찰 중 하나이다.
방문단은 27일 중국 외교부 초청 오찬 간담회에 참석하고, 28일 중국 종교사무국과 중국 불교협회 등을 방문한 뒤 29일 귀국할 예정이다.
