한Q본부에 따르면‘사랑의 김장 나누기 행사’는 추운 겨울 어려움을 겪는 취약계층 이웃들에게 손수 담근 김치를 전달함으로써 지역 사회에 나눔을 실천하는 한울본부의 대표적인 사회공헌 활동으로 지난 2004년부터 시작했다.
이날 이세용 본부장을 비롯 손병복 울진군수, 울진군 새마을회 백태진 회장, 경북사회복지공동모금회 정동의 사무처장 등 많은 관계자들이 참석해 김장김치 4,100포기를 직접 담갔다.
손수 담근 김치는 울진군청에서 선정한 취약계층 1,000가구와 울진 관내 15개 복지시설에 전달할 예정이다. 또한 울진에서 생산된 배추, 고춧가루 등 김장김치 식자재를 사용하여 지역경제 활성화에도 이바지했다.
손병복 울진군수는“한울본부가 매년 지역의 어려운 이웃들에게 지원을 아끼지 않아 감사하다”라며 “앞으로도 취약계층이 매 겨울을 따뜻하게 보낼 수 있도록 김장 나누기 행사가 지속되기를 바란다”라고 감사를 표했다.
이에 이세용 본부장은“지역 취약계층과 복지시설이 사랑으로 담근 김장김치로 추운 겨울을 잘 이겨낼 수 있길 바란다”라며, “시간이 갈수록 맛있게 익어가는 김치처럼 한울본부와 지역사회도 더욱 조화롭게 상생할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”라고 말했다.
