KT의 영타겟 브랜드 Y에서 운영하는 Y아티스트 레이블 12명의 작가가 참여해 월별 페이지를 디자인했다.
KT Y는 새롭게 떠오르는 청년 아티스트들을 발굴하고 활동을 독려하기 위해 매년 신진 아티스트를 선발하여 지원하는 ‘Y아티스트 프로젝트’를 4년째 운영하고 있다.
현재 총 24명이 Y아티스트 레이블로서 다양한 기관 및 기업의 프로젝트와 연결, 인정받는 아티스트로 성장할 수 있는 프로그램과 콜라보 기회를 만들어 나가고 있다.
이에 주목한 유네스코 한국위원회에서 협업을 제안해 2024년 세계기념일 캘린더의 월별 아트웍을 Y아티스트 레이블 12명이 제작하게 됐다.
유네스코한국위원회는 2024년 창립 70주년을 맞이하여 세계기념일을 더 잘 알고 기억하고, 더 나아가 기념일의 의미를 실천하기 위한 방법으로 세계기념일 캘린더를 기획했다.
기억하고 기념할 날들이 많아진다는 것은 의미있고 새로운 하루가 생긴다는 것으로 유네스코 세계기념일을 통해 지구적 이슈에 공감하는 새로운 일상을 제안하고자 했다.
