의왕시가 희망나래장애인복지관(관장 백상훈)이 보건복지부가 평가하는 2023 전국사회복지시설평가 장애인복지관 부문에서 최우수 등급인 ‘종합 A등급’을 받았다고 지난 1월 18일 밝혔다.
희망나래장애인복지관은 의왕시의 위탁을 받아 대한불교조계종사회복지재단이 운영하고 있다.
사회복지사업법에 따라 3년마다 실시하는 사회복지시설평가는 전국 장애인복지관 155곳을 대상으로 △시설·환경 △재정·조직 △프로그램·서비스 △이용자의 권리 △시설운영 전반 등 5가지 영역을 종합평가하고 그 결과를 공표한다.
희망나래장애인복지관은 이번 평가에서 최우수 등급을 획득하며 첫 평가를 받은 2017년부터 3회 연속 종합 A등급을 받아 전문성과 우수성을 입증하는 쾌거를 이뤘다.
희망나래장애인복지관 백상훈 관장은 “3회 연속 최우수 기관으로 선정된 것은 지역장애인을 위해 지원을 아끼지 않는 의왕시와 대한불교조계종사회복지재단, 후원자, 자원봉사자 그리고 이용 장애인들이 함께 이뤄낸 큰 성과”라며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 장애인의 복지증진을 위해 더욱 노력하는 희망나래장애인복지관이 되겠다”고 밝혔다.
