윤석열 대통령이 11일 "강원도 주력산업을 디지털·바이오 기반 첨단산업으로 재편해 대한민국의 새로운 첨단산업기지로 육성하겠다"고 밝혔다.
윤 대통령은 이날 오전 강원특별자치도 춘천시 강원도청 별관 회의실에서 '민생을 행복하게, 강원의 힘!' 주제로 열린 열아홉 번째 국민과 함께하는 민생토론회 모두 발언에서 "춘천에 '강원 수열에너지 클러스터'를 조성해 데이터산업 수도로 만들겠다"며 이같이 말했다.
그러면서 "소양강댐 심층 차가운 물을 데이터센터 냉방에 활용하고 데워진 물을 인근 스마트팜 난방으로 재용하는 강원 수열에너지 클러스터를 춘천에 조성하겠다"며 "강원을 데이터산업수도로 만들어 디지털산업 종사자 3만명, 디지털기업 3000개, 매출 300% 성장을 이루는 '333프로젝트'가 조기 성공하도록 지원하겠다"고 약속했다.
또 "민간기업에 토지수용·토지개발권을 부여하는 '춘천 기업혁신파크' 선도사업을 추진하고, 동해·삼척은 미래수소에너지 거점으로 육성하겠다"며 "지난 해 천연물바이오 국가산업단지 후보지로 결정된 강릉엔 올 하반기 예타가 통과되면 2600억을 투입해 산단조성을 조속히 추진하겠다"고 밝혔다.
이어 "강원 동해안 지역은 LNG 인수 기지 중심으로 수소산업 거점으로 성장할 잠재력이 매우 크다"며 "앞으로 5년간 3000억 이상을 투입해 삼척에 LNG를 활용한 수소 생산 플랜트로 구축하고, 동해는 수소 관련 설비·부품 제조 및 R&D(연구·개발) 기반을 조성해 글로벌 경쟁력을 갖춘 수소 클러스터로 육성할 것"이라고 밝혔다.
