의왕시청소년수련관, 전통성년식 ‘너의 첫걸음을 축하해’ 개최

의왕시청소년재단이 지난 7월 16일 의왕고등학교 1학년 학생 40명을 대상으로 전통성년식 ‘너의 첫걸음을 축하해’를 개최했다.

의왕시청소년수련관 전통예절관이 개최한 이번 성년식은 조선시대 전통성년식 절차에 따라 △성인의 모자와 의복을 각기 다른 것으로 세 번 갈아입는 삼가례, △자(字)를 지어주며 평생 간직할 교육을 내려주는 가자례, △성년이 되었음을 맹세하는 성년선언 등의 순서로 진행됐다.

이날 의왕고 문상연 교장이 관례를 주관하는 주례자인 ‘관빈’으로 참석해 학생들에게 직접 자(字)를 내려주며 청소년들의 성장을 축하하고 건강한 사회 구성원으로 거듭날 수 있도록 격려했다.

유재희 의왕시청소년수련관장은 “이번 전통성년식으로 청소년들이 성년의 참된 의미를 새기고 책임과 의무에 대해 생각해 볼 수 있는 뜻깊은 시간이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 우리 전통문화를 계승·발전시켜나갈 수 있도록 다양한 특성화 프로그램을 발굴해 청소년들에게 널리 알릴 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.

On July 16, the Uiwang City Youth Foundation held a traditional coming-of-age ceremony, ‘Celebrate Your First Step’, for 40 first-year students at Uiwang High School.
