달래 일행은 더리미 포구에서 배를 타고 가다가 김포 해안에 원감 국사를 내려주고 남쪽으로 향했다.
강화 해협을 빠져 나와 광활한 서해로 접어 드려는데 한 병사가 달래에게 권했다.
