[브레이크뉴스경기남부=성남 이현준기자] 성남시는 시스템반도체 개발지원센터의 개소식을 열고 본격 운영에 들어갔다.
시스템반도체 개발지원센터는 전국 최초로 반도체 설계 검증 기반 시설 및 전문인력 지원 서비스를 제공한다.
이날 개소식은 신상진 성남시장, 이승렬 산업통상자원부 산업정책실장, 지역구 국회의원, 신희동 한국전자기술연구원장, 한국팹리스산업협회, 팹리스기업 관계자 등 120여명이 참석한 가운데 성남 글로벌융합센터에서 30일 개최됐다.
신상진 시장은 축사에서 “전국 최초의 시스템반도체 개발지원센터를 성공적으로 운영해4차산업혁명에 따라 수요가 급증하고 있는 시스템반도체 산업생태계의 성장을 이끌고 판교 팹리스 클러스터 조성을 통해 국가 시스템반도체 산업을 이끄는 핵심지로 도약시키겠다”고 말했다.
참석자들은 현판 전달식과 개소식 세레모니를 마친 후, 센터 곳곳을 둘러보고 전시 시연에 참여했다.
약 500㎡ 규모로 마련된 시스템반도체 개발지원센터는 사무실 공간과 시스템반도체 설계 및 성능을 검증하는 공간 등으로 이뤄져 팹리스들의 설계-검증-상용화 전주기 밀착지원 기반 구축을 위한 서비스를 제공한다.
중소·중견의 팹리스기업이 구비하기 어려운첨단 인프라 기술장비 및 전문인력 지원이 가능해져 관내 기업의 제품 개발시간 단축 및 경제적부담을 낮출 수 있게됐다.
시는 올해 연말까지 검증 및 설계 기반 구축을 완료하고 내년부터 본격적으로 기업 지원사업을 추진한다.
성남시는 지난 6월 산업자원부의 ‘시스템반도체 검증지원센터 구축 사업’ 공모에 선정되었다. 시는 올해부터 2028년까지 5년간 국비 150억원과 도비 19억3000만원을 확보하고 시비 45억2000만원과참여기관 현물 약 20억원을 더해 총사업비 약 235억원이 투입된다.
이번 시스템반도체 개발지원센터 개소로 2020년부터 팹리스기업들의 칩셋 설계부터 시제품제작을 지원하는 제2판교 내 ‘시스템반도체 설계지원센터’와 유기적인 운영이 가능해져AI반도체 전주기(설계-시제작-검증-상용화) 지원 등 시의 시스템반도체 산업 인프라 기반이 더욱 공고해질 전망이다.
