시흥시의회, 법제처 민생현장 간담회

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=시흥 이현준기자] 시흥시의회 교육복지위원회 윤석경 부위원장은 정신건강 및 중독 문제 해결을 위한 민생현장 간담회를 개최했다.

이날 간담회에는 윤석경 부위원장을 비롯해 법제처 법제지원국장, 시흥시 보건소장, 정신건강복지센터 관계자 등이 참석하여 정신건강 및 중독 문제 해결을 위한 다양한 논의를 지난 27일 진행했다.

특히, 법령상 중증 정신질환자에 대한 정의와 정책 현장의 괴리감에 대해 허심탄회하게 이야기하며, 현장의 어려움을 청취하고 해결 방안을 모색했다. 참석자들은 법령과 정책 간의 차이를 좁히기 위한 지속적인 논의가 필요하다는 데에 공감하며 앞으로 지속적인 협력 방안을 마련해나갈 것을 다짐했다.

2023년 11월 윤석경 의원이 대표 발의한 ‘시흥시 마약 등 주요 중독 예방 및 치료 지원에 관한 조례’를 지원한 바 있는 법제처 법제지원국 박종구 국장은 “현장의 어려움에 대해 많은 생각을 하게 되었고, 오늘 나눈 이야기들이 정책 발전에 도움이 될 수 있도록 관계부처에 잘 전달하겠다.”고 말했다.
