이상일 용인특례시장, 새마을회 한마음 수련대회 참석

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 이상일 용인특례시장은 ‘2024 용인시 새마을회 한마음 수련대회’에 참여해 관계자들을 격려했다.

용인시새마을회원들의 화합과 우의를 다지기 위해 열린 이날 행사엔 이 시장을 비롯해 유진선 용인특례시의회 의장, 김춘연 용인시새마을회 회장 등 500여명이 처인구 마평동 실내체육관에서 지난 29일 참여했다.

이날 행사에서는 투철한 사명감과 봉사 정신으로 지역사회와 새마을회 발전을 위해 노력해 온 9명이 시장상 등의 표창을 받았다.

이어 지역 내 38개 읍면동 새마을회 회원들은 다채로운 프로그램으로 구성된 명랑운동회를 통해 즐거운 시간을 보냈다.

이 시장은 “지난여름 무더위 속에서도 여러분들이 어려운 이웃을 위한 봉사와 헌신으로 용인을 하나로 만들어줘 시장으로서 진심으로 감사하다”며 “회원들의 화합과 힐링을 위해 마련된 한마음 수련대회를 통해 화합과 소통의 시간을 가지기 바란다”고 말했다.
