[브레이크뉴스경기남부=김포 이현준기자] 김포지역자활센터는 보건복지부 2024년 지역자활센터 평가에서 도시형 부분 우수센터로 선정됐다.
이번 평가는 보건복지부에서 전국 250개 지역자활센터를 2년마다 정기적으로 평가하는 중간점검을 위한 간이평가로 3개 중점분야인 ▲자활근로 참여율 ▲자활사업 수익금 및 매출액 증가폭 ▲내일키움통장 가입율을 비교하여 상위 40% 이상의 센터를 선정한 것이다.
김포지역자활센터는 2020년부터 김포복지재단에서 운영을 맡으면서 그동안 단순 임가공 사업단에서 목공, 편의점, 카페사업단 등 신규 사업단을 개발하여 사업단 다변화와 함께 꾸준히 매출액을 늘려왔으며, 지난해 매출액은 5억1,885만원으로 전년대비 145% 증가한 성과를 거뒀다.
지역자활센터에서는 4년여 노력끝에 처음으로 우수 기관으로 선정됨에 따라 센터 종사자의 사기진작 및 자활사업 활성화에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있으며, 포상금 500만원은 센터 운영비와 직원들의 성과급으로 지원될 예정이다.
