브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= LG유플러스는 고객 편의 향상을 위해 가족 간 결합 신청 뿐만 아니라, 결합 변경과 할인 금액 나눔까지 온라인을 통해 편리하게 이용할 수 있도록 ‘셀프 결합’ 서비스를 강화했다고 4일 밝혔다.
‘셀프 결합’은 고객센터 앱인 ‘당신의 U+’에서 별도의 서류 제출 절차 없이 가족 간 결합 할인을 신청할 수 있는 서비스다. 기존에는 가족 결합 신청을 위해 위해 번거로운 가족관계 증명 서류 발급 및 제출 과정이 필요했지만, 온라인 셀프 결합은 휴대폰 인증만으로 모바일에서 즉시 신청할 수 있다는 것이 장점이다.
LG유플러스는 지난 7월 셀프 결합을 처음 선보이면서 신규 결합과 결합 가족 추가 등 서비스를 제공한 데 이어, 이번 기능 강화를 통해 결합 인원을 변경하고 할인 금액을 나눌 수 있는 서비스를 새롭게 추가했다.
결합 변경 서비스를 통해 고객들은 기존 가족들과 결합된 상태에서 내 회선만 결합을 해지한 후 새로운 결합을 신청하거나, 가족 구성원 전체가 다른 결합으로 변경할 수 있게 됐다. 일례로, 부모님과 함께 결합해 할인을 받고 있던 자녀가 결혼한 후 새로운 가족과 결합 할인을 신청하는 경우, 고객센터 앱을 통해 기존 가족과의 결합을 해지한 후 새로운 가족 구성원과 결합을 신청할 수 있다.

향후 LG유플러스는 통신 서비스 이용 고객들의 편의를 향상하기 위해 연내 가족 결합으로 연결된 모든 구성원의 통신료 이용 납부 내역과 연간 결합 할인혜택을 안내하는 ‘우리 가족 청구서’ 서비스도 선보일 계힉이다.
