[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광주 이현준기자] 광주도시관리공사는 2024년도 국제공인 숙련도 평가에서 8년 연속 수질분야 '최우수 분석기관'으로 인정받았다.

ERA는 미국 환경보호청(EPA)과 국제표준화기구(ISO/IEC)가 인정한 국제숙련도 시험기관으로 환경분야 오염물질에 대한 분석능력과 결과의 정확도 및 신뢰성을 평가하고 있다. 특히 모든 시험항목에서 ‘만족’평가를 받은 기관을 ‘최우수기관’으로 인정하고 있다.
이번 평가에서공사는 총유기탄소(TOC),부유물질(SS),생물화학적 산소요구량(BOD),총인(TP), 총질소(TN), 총대장균군(E-coli) 등 수질분야 6개 항목에서 모두 ‘만족’ 평가를 받아 국제적 수준의 수질분석능력을 보유하고 있음를 입증했다.
광주도시관리공사는 지난 7월 환경부 산하 국립환경과학원으로부터 수질분야 숙련도 시험 및 현장평가에서 '적합’ 판정을 받은 바 있으며, 이번에 국제숙련도 평가에서도 ‘최우수기관’으로 선정되면서 수질분야 분석능력에 대한 신뢰성과 공신력을 더욱 높일 수 있게 됐다.
박남수 사장은 “이번 국제숙련도 시험으로 공사의지속적인 측정분석 역량 강화에 집중한 결과 수질분야에서 국제적우수 분석기관으로 인정받았다”라며, “앞으로 정확도 높은 분석 능력을 바탕으로 수질데이터의 공신력을 확보하고 팔당 상수원 보호를 위해 지속적인 노력과 관리에 최선을 다할 것”이라고 말했다.
