[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안산 이현준기자] 안산시는 ‘생명존중안심마을’ 조성을 위한 업무 협약식을 개최했다.
지난 11일 상록수보건소에서 최진숙 상록수보건소장, 본오1·2·3동장, 안산시자살예방센터장, 지역 내기관·단체장 등 관계자 30여 명이 참석했다.
생명존중안심마을은 보건복지부와 생명존중희망재단이 올해부터 새롭게 추진하는 사업으로, 지역사회 내 다양한 기관과 단체들이 협력해 자살률 감소를 목표로 자살 예방 안전망을 촘촘하게 구축하는 것이 핵심이다.
시는 이번 협약으로 올해 목표였던 총 8개 지역(본오1·2·3동, 이동, 초지동, 선부1·2·3동)에 생명존중안심마을 조성을 완료하고 자살 예방 활동을 전개한다. 이를위해 6개 주요 영역(▲보건의료 ▲교육 ▲복지 ▲유통 판매 ▲지역사회 ▲공공서비스)의 총 101개 기관장이 참석해 자살 예방을 위한 실천을 다짐했다.

최진숙 상록수보건소장은 “이번 8개 동을 시작으로 오는 2026년까지 안산시의 25개 모든 동을 생명존중안심마을로 지정할 계획”이라며 “기관과의 협력을 기반으로 자살로부터 안전한 안산시를 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
