[브레이크뉴스경기남부=김포 이현준기자] 김포시가 2023년 경기도 범죄예방 도시환경디자인 공모사업에 선정됐다.
지난 8월 경기도 공공디자인진흥위원회 심의를 통과해 시설물 대상지 이해관계자 협의를 10월 중으로 마치고 11월 1일부터 착수할 예정이라고 밝혔다.
생활안심디자인이란 범죄에 취약할 수 있는 도시환경을 정비하여 범죄예방뿐만 아니라 심리적 불안감을 감소시키기 위한 디자인 기법을 말한다.
사업 대상지인 양촌읍 양곡리 397-4번지 일원은 노후 건축물과 공·폐가, 좁고 어두운 골목 등 열악한 주거환경 등으로 인해 범죄 발생이 우려되고 주민들의 불안감이 높은 곳이다.
이번에 도입될 사업 내용으로는 원활한 자연 감시를 위한 주민쉼터 공간 마련, 인근 상업지 행패소란 문제를 막기 위한 주거지역 안심문주 설치, 우리 동네 순찰길 조성, 골목길 안심 벽등, 안심 지도, 틈새 펜스 설치와 반사경, 보안등, CCTV와 같은 골목길 안전시설물 신규 설치 등이 있다.
