남동구, 환경오염물질 배출업소 민관 합동점검 실시

(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구가 28일,  최근 대기·폐수 환경오염물질 배출시설 33곳을 대상으로 특별 민관 합동점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

남동구에 따르면, 이번 점검은 점검의 투명성과 신뢰도를 높이기 위해 지역주민 등으로 구성된 민간환경감시단 20명과 함께 주요 배출업소 33곳에 대해 실시됐다.

특히, 이 가운데 사업장 12곳에서 대해서는 최종배출구에서 시료 채취를 실시해 오염물질의 초과 여부를 확인하는 등 점검의 실효성을 높였다.

주요 점검항목은 배출시설 신고사항과 현장 시설 일치 여부 확인, 배출시설 및 방지시설 정상 운영 여부, 오염물질 무단배출 및 주변 환경 오염 여부, 시료 채취 및 오염도 검사를 통한 배출허용기준 준수 여부 등이었다. 

점검 결과 폐수 배출 허용기준을 초과한 배출업소 1곳을 적발해 관련법에 따라 행정 처분했다.

박종효 남동구청장은 “환경 배출업소에 대한 지속적인 점검을 실시하고 위법행위에 대해 엄중 처벌해 구민이 안심할 수 있는 깨끗한 생활환경 조성을 위해 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
