본격적인 피서철을 앞두고 충남 금산군이 여름철 물놀이 안전사고 예방을 위한 대응 훈련에 나섰다.
군은 지난 5일 금강 일대 부리면에서 제원·부리·복수·진산면 물놀이 지역에 투입될 안전관리요원 13명을 대상으로 실전 중심 교육을 실시했다.
이번 훈련은 금산소방서에 위탁해 진행됐으며, 이론 중심의 강의보다 현장에서의 실질적인 구조 능력 배양에 초점을 맞췄다. 안전사고 발생 시 초기 대응 능력을 높이기 위한 목적이다.
현장에서는 '물놀이 지역 안전관리 기본', '구명환·구명로프 등 기초 구조장비 사용법', '구조 대상자 합동 구조 훈련', '심폐소생술', '신속한 응급 대응을 위한 인명구조 훈련' 등이 이어졌다. 특히 실제 사고를 가정한 구조 훈련을 통해 대응 절차의 숙련도를 높였다.
군은 6월 15일부터 8월 31일까지를 ‘물놀이 특별대책기간’으로 지정하고, 9월 말까지를 안전대책 기간으로 운영할 계획이다. 특별대책기간 동안 선발된 13명의 안전관리요원은 주요 물놀이 지역에 배치돼 현장 순찰, 안전 지도, 위험요소 제거 등 예방 중심의 활동을 펼칠 예정이다.
군은 또한 유관기관과의 유기적인 협조체계를 구축해 사고 발생 가능성을 사전에 차단하고, 안전사고 ‘제로화’를 목표로 다각적인 노력을 기울일 방침이다.
