(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 오는 11일부터 7월 11일까지 한 달간 무단 방치된 자동차와 이륜차를 대상으로 집중단속을 벌인다고 밝혔다.
부천시에 따르면, 이번 단속은 도시 미관을 해치고 주차 공간을 점유하는 방치 차량 문제를 해소하기 위해 추진된다.
무단 방치 차량은 일정한 장소에 장기간 고정돼 운행 외 용도로 사용되거나, 도로에 장기 주차된 차량, 정당한 사유 없이 타인 소유의 토지에 방치된 차량 등이 해당된다.
부천시는 단속반을 편성해 관내 전역을 대상으로 점검에 나선다.
이에 시는 단속반 또는 주민신고에 의해 적발된 차량 소유자에게 자진 처리를 유도할 방침이다.
자발적으로 조치하지 않은 차량은 ‘자동차관리법’에 따라 강제 견인 조치 후 폐차 또는 매각되며, 범칙금 부과는 물론 1년 이하 징역이나 1천만 원 이하의 벌금형에 처해질 수 있다.
시민 누구나 무단 방치 차량을 발견하면 부천시 차량등록과로 신고할 수 있다.
접수된 신고는 현장 확인 후 신속히 처리되며, 집중단속 기간 내 자진정비를 유도해 행정조치를 최소화할 계획이다.
부천시 관계자는 “무단 방치 차량 단속은 단순한 정비를 넘어 시민 생활 불편을 해소하고, 안전하고 깨끗한 도시환경을 만드는 중요한 과제”라며 “시민들의 적극적인 협조와 관심이 필요하다”고 말했다.
