충남 부여군이 지역 내 고령 독거노인을 위한 의료 접근성 개선에 다시 한 번 나섰다.
군은 23일, 지난해부터 시범 운영한 ‘홀몸어르신 병원 동행서비스’를 올해도 확대 시행한다고 밝혔다.
이 서비스는 70세 이상 독거 어르신 가운데 병원 방문이 어려운 이들을 대상으로, ‘동행 매니저’가 진료 전 과정을 함께하는 맞춤형 복지 프로그램이다. 단순 동행에 그치지 않고 진료 접수부터 수납, 약국 이용까지 모든 절차를 지원한다.
올해는 서비스의 연속성과 접근성을 높이기 위해 7월부터 부여군노인종합복지관에 위탁 운영을 맡긴다. 이를 통해 보다 체계적인 운영과 관리가 가능할 것으로 군은 기대하고 있다.
