(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 2일 숭의동 천원주택 현장에서 입주자들과 함께 입주행사를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, ‘천원주택’은 하루 1,000원, 월 3만 원의 저렴한 임대료로 신혼부부 등에게 안정적인 주거환경을 제공하는 사업이다.
실질적인 주거비 부담 완화 대책으로 발표 초기부터 주목을 받았으며, 지난 3월에는 매입임대주택 예비입주자 모집에서 7.36대 1의 높은 경쟁률을 기록했다.
입주행사에 앞서 대통령 직속 저출산고령사회위원회로부터 인천시에 감사패가 전달됐다.
이번 감사패는 저출산 대응을 위한 인천시의 선도적인 정책 추진 성과에 대한 감사와 격려의 의미를 담고 있다.

이번 행사를 시작으로 주택 배정 및 계약을 마친 세대는 60일 이내에 입주해야 하며, 입주 후 최장 6년간 ‘천원주택’의 주거지원을 받게 된다.
지난 5월에 모집한 전세임대주택형 천원주택 500호는 현재 소득 등 자격 검증이 진행 중이며, 7월 말 입주자를 선정하고 8월부터 입주가 시작될 예정이다.
