충남 부여군(군수 박정현)이 여름철 급증할 수 있는 레지오넬라증 예방을 위해 지역 내 다중이용시설을 대상으로 정밀 환경검사에 착수했다. 군은 7월 한 달간 대형 건물, 요양병원, 공원 분수 등 총 14개소를 대상으로 냉각탑과 급·배수 시설에 대한 집중 점검을 실시한다고 9일 밝혔다.
이번 조치는 여름철 고온다습한 기후에서 급속히 증식할 수 있는 레지오넬라균의 확산을 사전에 차단하기 위한 선제적 조치로, 검사는 냉각탑수와 온수·냉수 공급시설 등을 중심으로 이루어진다.
