충청남도는 12일 도내 북한이탈주민의 정착 지원과 사회통합을 촉진하고, 더 나아가 한반도 통일의 발판을 마련하기 위한 다짐을 다시금 굳혔다.
충남도는 이날 오전 충남도서관 대강당에서 박정주 부지사를 비롯해 북한이탈주민과 도의회, 시군 공무원, 유관기관 관계자 등 250여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘제2회 북한이탈주민의 날’ 기념행사를 성황리에 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 행사는 북한이탈주민의 안정적인 정착을 응원하고, 자긍심을 고취하는 동시에 지역사회와의 상생 기반을 넓히기 위한 취지로 마련됐다. 주요 프로그램으로는 유공자 표창, 기념사 및 축사, 문화공연, 부대행사 등이 진행돼 참석자들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.
