(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 계양구가 14일, 여름철 폭염과 호우로 인한 재난에 선제적으로 대응하고 구민의 안전한 일상생활을 보호하기 위해 자연재난 대응 실태 점검에 나섰다고 밝혔다.
계양구에 따르면, 구는 지난 11일, 구 본청 부서장과 동 행정복지센터 동장 등으로 구성된 합동점검반을 편성해 관내 무더위쉼터 62개소 전체에 대한 현장 점검을 실시했다.
특히, 주요 쉼터 5개소는 부구청장이 직접 현장을 방문해 운영 상태를 확인했다.
이번 점검은 최근 계속된 폭염으로 7월 8일 인천 지역 기온이 35.6℃까지 치솟는 등 피해 우려가 커짐에 따라, 쉼터 운영 상태와 구민 이용 편의 등을 중점적으로 점검하기 위해 추진됐다.
주요 점검 항목은 쉼터 운영 여부 및 개방 시간 준수, 냉방기 정상 작동 및 적정 실내 온도(26~28℃) 유지 상태, 쉼터 불편사항 신고 안내문 비치 여부, 응급상황 대비 지역응급의료센터 연락망 확보 여부 등이다.
또한, 계양구는 여름철 집중호우에 대비해 침수 우려가 있는 저지대와 지하차도 등 주요 위험지역에 대한 점검도 병행하고 있다.
특히, 침수 위험이 높은 경인고속도로 하부 대보로, 경인고속도로 하부 통행 암거, 선주교 하부 농로와 지하차도 3곳(계양지하차도, 임학지하차도, 용종지하차도)의 자동차단시설 등을 확인했다.
