(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 15일, 시민 삶의 질 개선과 교통약자 보호를 위해, 일상 속에서 시민들이 체감할 수 있는 생활밀착형 교통정책을 대폭 확대해 나간다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 원도심 지역의 고질적인 주차난 해소를 위해 2030년까지 6년간 총 20만 면의 주차면을 단계적으로 확보해 현재 43% 수준인 주차율을 80%까지 끌어올리는 ‘원도심 주차면 확충 사업’을 추진한다.
상반기에는 주차공간 2,709면을 공급해 목표 대비 56%의 실적을 달성했으며, 공유주차는 4,949면 확보로 24%의 달성률을 보였다.
하반기에 중앙근린공원 공영주차장(294면) 착공을 시작으로, 구월근린공원 등 총 23개소 2,735면이 추가 공급된다.
또, 공공기관과의 협의를 통해 최대 16,540면의 공유주차면을 확보해 연말까지 목표를 초과 달성할 것으로 기대된다.
