(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구가 15일, 최근 개장한 ‘남동 물빛놀이터’ 내에 포토존을 설치하고 교각 벽화를 조성했다고 밝혔다.
남동구에 따르면, 남동 물빛놀이터는 수인선 하부공간의 야외에 설치된 물놀이장으로, 놀이터 내에 약 6미터 높이의 교각 5개가 철로를 떠받치고 있어 물놀이장 미관과 도시경관을 저해하고 있었다.
이에 남동구는 인천을 상징하는 색을 활용한 ‘몬드리안’ 무늬와 ‘바닷속’을 주제로 한 교각 벽화를 조성하여 야외 물놀이장과 조화로운 도시경관을 조성하였으며 주변 분위기를 더욱 활기차게 만들었다.
또한, 온 가족이 함께 즐길 수 있는 ‘바다기차 조형벤치’ 포토존을 설치하여 소중한 추억을 남김으로써 물놀이장이 더욱더 뜻깊은 장소로 기억될 수 있도록 했다.
박종효 구청장은 “교각 벽화와 포토존을 통해 칙칙한 교각이 밝고 산뜻한 환경으로 변화되어 여름철 물놀이장 운영기간 뿐만 아니라 사계절 주민들이 즐겨 찾는 감성과 추억의 명소가 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 도시미관 개선을 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
