【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청(교육감 임종식)이 지난 12일부터 13일까지 구미컨벤션센터(GUMICO)에서 개최한 ‘2026학년도 대학 진학 경북박람회’가 이틀간 13,500여 명이 방문하며 성황리에 마무리됐다.
이번 박람회에는 전국 64개 대학과 기관이 참여해, 실질적인 입시 전략과 진학 정보를 제공하는 다양한 프로그램을 선보였다. 현장에서는 △대학별 맞춤형 상담 부스 △1:1 대입 상담 △의료계열 특강 △수시 전략 특강(총 6회) △학과별 멘토-멘티관 △‘수능 등급 UP 토크 콘서트’ 등 입시 준비에 실질적인 도움이 되는 프로그램들이 운영됐다.
특히, 수험생들은 현장에서 직접 대학별 전형 기준과 학과 정보를 확인하고, 입시 관련 궁금증을 해소하며 진로 설계에 도움을 받는 시간을 가졌다.
해를 거듭할수록 진화하는 경북박람회는 올해도 대상과 콘텐츠를 확장하며 눈길을 끌었다. 지난해 신설된 ‘멘토-멘티관’에 이어, 올해는 고1·고2 학생들을 위한 전용관까지 마련돼 입시 준비의 폭을 넓혔다. 또한 ‘수능 등급 UP 토크 콘서트’는 학업 동기를 북돋우는 프로그램으로 큰 호응을 얻었다.
한편, 경북교육청은 교육 사각지대를 줄이기 위해 경상북도학교밖청소년지원센터와 협력, 학교 밖 청소년들도 수도권 대학 상담 부스와 1:1 대입 상담 코너에 참여할 수 있도록 적극 지원했다.
임종식 교육감은 “이번 박람회는 수험생과 학부모, 교사들에게 현실적인 입시 정보와 함께 진로에 대한 희망을 전하는 자리였다”며 “이 박람회를 통해 학생들이 자신의 미래를 주도적으로 설계해 나가는 데 큰 힘이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
