(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서구가 21일, 살기 좋은 서구를 만드는 데 헌신적으로 기여한 모범 구민을 찾아 그 공로에 감사를 표하고자, 오는 8월 8일까지 ‘제37회 구민의 날 기념 구민상’ 후보자를 추천받는다고 밝혔다.
서구에 따르면, 효행, 교육, 사회봉사, 환경, 문화예술, 체육진흥, 지역경제, 특별부문의 총 8개 부문 11명 이내의 대상자를 시상할 예정이다.
추천 대상은 추천일 현재 5년 이상 서구에 거주하는 구민(수상부문의 특성에 따라 관내에서 5년 이상 활동한 실적이 있는 자 포함) 중 부문별 공적이 현저하며 과거 구민상 수상 경력이 없는 사람이다.
후보자 추천 기간은 이달 23일부터 8월 8일까지며 동장, 유관기관장, 학교장, 사회단체장, 100인 이상의 기업체장을 통해 추천서와 공적조서, 사진, 심사에 필요한 증빙 자료를 첨부해 서구청 총무과에 접수하면 된다.
수상자는 각계 각층의 전문가와 덕망 있는 인사로 구성된 구민상 시상 심의위원회의 엄정한 심사를 거쳐 결정되며, 9월 ‘제37회 구민의 날 기념행사’에서 시상할 계획이다.
서구 관계자는 “1992년 시작된 서구 구민상은 관내 최고의 권위와 역사를 자랑하는 상”이라며 “공적이 훌륭한 구민을 적극적으로 알려주시길 바란다”고 밝혔다.
