[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 지역 소상공인 매출 증대와 경기 활성화를 위해 오는 8월 진주사랑상품권 235억8000만원을 발행한다고 29일 밝혔다.
이번에 발행되는 상품권은 모바일형 230억8000만원, 지류형 5억원 규모로, 7% 할인된 금액으로 판매될 예정이다.
모바일 상품권은 오는 8월 1일부터 제로페이 앱을 통해 구매 가능하며, 지류형은 오는 8월 20일부터 관내 농협, 경남은행, 새마을금고에서 구입할 수 있다.
진주시는 침체된 소비심리 회복과 소비 촉진을 위해 8월 한 달간 상품권 개인 구매한도를 기존 20만원에서 50만원으로 상향 조정한다.
또 시는 상품권 보유한도도 기존 150만원에서 200만원으로 확대해 소비자들의 편의성과 활용도를 높인다는 방침이다.
진주사랑상품권은 관내 제로페이 가맹점 1만6400여 곳, 지류 가맹점 3800여 곳에서 사용할 수 있다.
시는 수수료 부담이 없는 진주사랑상품권 이용을 유도하고, 가맹점 등록을 위한 안내와 홍보 활동을 병행할 계획이다.
