【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=영진전문대학교 간호학과 학생들이 호주 시드니에서 글로벌 현장학습을 마치고 돌아왔다.
최근 2주간 시드니 보건전문학교와 세인트빈센트병원, 페어필드병원 등에서 진행된 연수는 ‘2025년 해외선진기술교육연수’의 일환이다.
영진전문대는 교내외 글로벌 프로그램 활동에서 우수한 성과를 보인 간호학과 2·3학년생 20명을 선발했다.
학생들은 간호실무영어, 응급처치, 간호 시뮬레이션 실습을 비롯해 국제간호사 실기시험 대비 훈련을 받았다.
또 지역 병원을 방문해 응급·중환자·분만환자 간호 등 급성질환 관리와 호주 보건의료체계에 대한 직무 연수도 경험했다.
현지 한인 간호사와 법무사로부터는 취업 준비와 이민 제도 등에 관한 조언을 들으며 해외 진출 가능성을 모색하는 시간도 가졌다.
연수에 참여한 정지연 학생은 “국제 간호환경을 직접 경험하며 실무 자신감을 얻었다”고 소감을 전했다.
백주연 간호학과 학과장은 “학생들의 만족도가 높다”며 “앞으로도 글로벌 간호 인재 양성을 위한 프로그램을 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Yeungjin College Nursing students have returned from a global field trip in Sydney, Australia.
The recent two-week training program, held at Sydney Health Professionals College, St. Vincent's Hospital, and Fairfield Hospital, is part of the "2025 Overseas Advanced Technology Training Program."
Yeungjin College selected 20 second- and third-year nursing students who demonstrated outstanding performance in on- and off-campus global programs.
The students received training in nursing English, first aid, and nursing simulations, as well as preparation for the International Nurses License Exam.
They also visited local hospitals to experience acute care management, including emergency, intensive care, and labor and delivery nursing, and to gain hands-on experience in the Australian healthcare system.
They also received advice on job preparation and immigration from local Korean nurses and legal representatives, exploring opportunities for overseas careers.
Jiyeon Jeong, a participant in the program, said, "Experienced firsthand the international nursing environment, which gave me confidence in my work."
“Student satisfaction is high,” said Baek Ju-yeon, head of the Department of Nursing. “We will continue to expand our programs to cultivate global nursing talent.”
