한국예술문화단체총연합회 안양지회(안양예총)가 주최하는 제8회 아트콘서트가 오는 8월 22일 오후 2시 만안구청 3층 강당에서 열린다.

이번 아트콘서트의 주인공은 안양 출신 미술가인 오용길 화백으로, 2025년 대한민국 예술원 회원으로 선정된 안양 지역 최초의 예술인이라는 점에서 의미가 크다. 오 화백은 '21세기판 겸재', '실경 산수화의 거장'으로 1973년 국전에서 문화공보부 장관상을 수상하며 미술계에 이름을 알렸다.
서울대와 동 대학원을 졸업한 그는 1975년 중앙예술대 강사를 시작으로 추계예술대, 세종대 조교수를 거쳐 1984년 이화여대 조형예술대 동양화과 교수로 부임했다. 이후 2005년 동 대학 조형예술대 학장을 지내며 2012년 정년퇴임까지 40여 년간 후학을 양성하는 한편 활발한 작품 활동을 이어왔다. 현재는 이화여대 명예교수, 후소회 회장, 안양미술협회 고문으로 활동 중이다.

Anyang Art Association Holds 8th Art Concert… Illuminating the Life and Artistic World of Artist Oh Yong-gil
The Anyang Chapter of the Korean Federation of Arts and Culture Organizations (Anyang Art Association) will host the 8th Art Concert on August 22nd at 2:00 PM in the auditorium on the third floor of the Manan District Office.
The featured artist is Anyang native Oh Yong-gil. This concert holds significant significance as he is the first artist from Anyang to be selected as a member of the National Academy of Arts of the Republic of Korea in 2025. Known as a "21st-century Gyeomjae" and a "master of realistic landscape painting," Oh first gained recognition in the art world in 1973 when he won the Minister of Culture and Information Award at the National Art Exhibition.
A graduate of Seoul National University and its graduate school, he began his career as a lecturer at Chung-Ang University for the Arts in 1975, then served as an assistant professor at Chugye University for the Arts and Sejong University before becoming a professor in the Department of Oriental Painting at Ewha Womans University's College of Fine Arts in 1984. Since 2005, he has served as Dean of the College of Fine Arts at the university, nurturing future generations and actively creating works for over 40 years until his retirement in 2012. He currently serves as Professor Emeritus of Ewha Womans University, President of the Husohoe, and Advisor to the Anyang Art Association.
