【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청(교육감 임종식)은 ‘2025 행복한 아버지(부모)학교’를 운영하고 있다고 17일 밝혔다.
지난 7월부터 도내 유치원과 초·중·고·특수학교 학부모를 대상으로 진행 중인 아버지학교는 자녀와의 소통 능력을 높이고 건강한 가족문화를 확산하기 위한 경북교육청의 특색 사업이다.
2021년 ‘프렌디 스쿨’이라는 이름으로 시작해 비대면으로 진행되다 매년 확대됐으며, 2023년부터는 대면 현장 교육으로 운영되고 있다. 올해는 21개 시·군에서 880여 명의 학부모가 참여하는 등 규모가 크게 늘었다.
교육은 교육지원청별로 20명 이상을 대상으로 2회기(총 4시간) 과정으로 진행된다.
자기돌봄, 부모역할 기본, 자녀교육, 학교협력, 자녀자립지원 등 5개 역량군을 중심으로 구성되며, 강의와 실습, 심리검사, 소그룹 활동을 결합한 참여형 프로그램으로 운영된다.
교육부에서 개발한 ‘역량 중심 성장형 학부모교육’ 프레임워크를 적용해 한층 전문화·체계화한 것이 특징이다.
지난 11일 영주교육지원청에서 열린 아버지학교에 참석한 한 학부모는 “2년 전에도 아버지학교에 참여해 자녀 이해와 소통에 큰 도움을 받았다”며 “아버지를 위한 교육 기회가 더욱 많아지길 바란다”고 소감을 전했다.
교육은 7월 16일 성주를 시작으로 현재까지 7개 지역에서 완료됐으며, 오는 11월까지 청송·안동·영양·영덕·구미·경주·고령·김천·경산·영천·문경·칠곡 등에서 순차적으로 진행된다.
임종식 교육감은 “교육 현장에서 학부모의 역할이 갈수록 중요해지고 있다”며 “학부모 지원사업을 지속 추진해 학교와 가정이 협력하는 교육공동체 회복에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

It features a more specialized and systematic approach, applying the "Competency-Centered Growth-Oriented Parent Education" framework developed by the Ministry of Education.
A parent who attended the Father's School held at the Yeongju Office of Education on the 11th said, "I participated in the Father's School two years ago and it greatly helped me understand and communicate with my child." He added, "I hope there will be more educational opportunities for fathers."
The program began in Seongju on July 16th and has been completed in seven regions. It will be implemented sequentially in Cheongsong, Andong, Yeongyang, Yeongdeok, Gumi, Gyeongju, Goryeong, Gimcheon, Gyeongsan, Yeongcheon, Mungyeong, and Chilgok through November.
Superintendent of Education Lim Jong-sik stated, "The role of parents in education is becoming increasingly important. We will continue to promote parent support programs and strive to restore an educational community where schools and families collaborate."
