【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 중구청은 국가유산청이 주관한 공모사업에서 '2026 대구 국가유산 야행'이 최종 선정돼 국비 8천만 원을 확보했다고 22일 밝혔다.
국가유산 야행사업은 지역의 국가유산을 활용한 야간 관광 콘텐츠를 발굴·연계해 시민과 관광객의 문화 향유 기회를 확대하고, 지역 관광을 활성화하기 위한 사업이다.
지난 7월 전국 지자체를 대상으로 실시된 이번 공모에는 55곳이 신청했으며, 콘텐츠의 우수성, 운영 체계, 발전 가능성 등을 종합 평가해 선정됐다.
'대구 국가유산 야행'은 2016년 처음 시작돼 올해로 10년째를 맞았으며, 중구를 대표하는 야간 문화 프로그램으로 자리 잡았다.
행사 기간에는 국가유산과 문화시설을 야간에 개방하고 공연, 전시, 체험 등 다채로운 프로그램을 선보여 꾸준한 호응을 얻고 있다.
류규하 중구청장은 "이번 선정은 대구 중구의 풍부한 역사문화자산과 그 가치를 인정받은 결과로 구민에게 큰 자긍심이 된다"며 "앞으로도 차별화된 프로그램을 통해 전국과 세계인이 찾는 글로벌 야간문화축제로 발전시키겠다"고 말했다.

Jung-gu District Mayor Ryu Gyu-ha said, "This selection is a great source of pride for the residents of Daegu Jung-gu as it recognizes the rich historical and cultural assets and their value." He added, "We will continue to develop this festival into a global nighttime cultural festival that attracts people from all over the country and the world through differentiated programs."
