【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청은 9월 20일부터 26일까지 광주광역시 일원에서 열린 ‘제60회 전국기능경기대회’에서 대구 직업계고 학생들이 우수한 성과를 거뒀다고 1일 밝혔다.
이번 대회에는 36개 직종, 학생 선수단 92개 팀이 출전했으며, 대구 직업계고는 금메달 7개, 은메달 6개, 동메달 7개를 포함해 총 51개 팀이 입상하는 뛰어난 성적을 기록했다.
학교별 주요 성과는 ▲경북기계공업고: 금메달 3개(프로토타입모델링, 금형, 전기제어)·은메달 2개·동메달 1개로 은탑 수상 ▲대구하이텍고: 금메달(목공) ▲대구일마이스터고: 금메달(CNC/선반) ▲경북공고: 금메달(건축설계/CAD) ▲상서고: 금메달(요리) 등이다.
은메달과 동메달도 다수 획득했다. 은메달은 대구공고(목공예), 경북기계공고(금형·프로토타입모델링), 대구과학기술고(통신망분배기술) 등에서 나왔으며, 동메달은 대구농업마이스터고(화훼장식), 대구공고(전기기기·자동차정비), 경북기계공고(폴리메카닉스) 등 다양한 분야에서 나왔다.
특히 경북기계공업고는 금메달 3개, 은메달 2개, 동메달 1개를 획득하며 은탑 수상 기관으로 자리매김, 지난해 금탑에 이어 꾸준한 우수 선수 배출 기관임을 입증했다.
이번 대회 입상자는 순위에 따라 상장과 상금을 받으며, 2028년 일본 아이치에서 열리는 제49회 국제기능올림픽 국가대표 선발전에 참가할 자격과 산업기사 실기시험 면제 혜택도 주어진다.
강은희 교육감은 “다양한 분야에서 우수한 성과를 낸 학생들과 지도교사에게 감사드린다”며 “앞으로도 대구 직업계고 학생들이 미래 기술 인재로 성장할 수 있도록 아낌없는 지원을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

Bronze medals were awarded to Daegu Agricultural Meister High School (Floral Decoration), Daegu Technical High School (Electrical Equipment and Automobile Maintenance), and Gyeongbuk Mechanical Technical High School (Polymechanics).
Gyeongbuk Mechanical Technical High School, in particular, secured three gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal, solidifying its position as a Silver Tower winner. Following its gold medal win last year, it has consistently produced outstanding athletes.
Winners of this competition will receive a certificate and prize money based on their ranking. They will also be eligible to compete in the 49th WorldSkills National Team Selection Competition in Aichi, Japan in 2028, and be exempted from the Industrial Engineer practical test.
Superintendent Kang Eun-hee said, “I would like to express my gratitude to the students and their teachers who have achieved outstanding results in various fields,” and added, “We will continue to provide generous support to Daegu Vocational High School students so that they can grow into future technical talents.”
