유영일 경기도의원, 안양 ‘시니어 기후학교’ 수료식 참석

유영일 경기도의원(국민의힘, 안양5)이 안양시 노인복지관에서 지난 9월 29일 열린 ‘함께 행동하는 시니어 기후학교’ 수료식에 참석해 축사를 했다. ‘함께 행동하는 시니어 기후학교’는 지난 8월부터 고령층을 대상으로 진행된 환경 집합교육으로, 생활 속 친환경 실천 확산과 기후위기 대응 인식 제고를 목표로 마련됐다.

유영일 의원은 “환경문제는 남녀노소를 막론하고 모두가 함께 해결해야 할 과제”라며, “어르신들이 실천하는 작은 행동이 지역사회의 변화를 이끌고, 나아가 우리 사회의 환경문제 해결에도 큰 힘이 될 것”이라고 축하의 뜻을 전했다.

이번 교육을 총괄 운영한 경기도환경교육센터는 고령층의 눈높이에 맞춘 맞춤형 강의와 체계적 프로그램을 구성했다. 수료생들은 친환경 물품과 리필 용기 사용, 천연염색, 자연풍경 그리기 등 다양한 활동을 통해 일상에서 실천 가능한 기후 대응 방법을 배웠다.

유영일 의원은 노년층 복지 향상에도 꾸준히 힘써왔다. 지난해 12월에는 ‘경기도 지역사회 계속거주 도시공간 조성 지원 조례’를 제정해 어르신들의 지역 내 생활 안정과 행복한 노년을 지원했다. 또 ‘어르신 찾아가는 탄소중립교육’에 직접 보조강사로 참여하며, 사회참여와 건강한 노년을 위한 활동을 이어가고 있다.

The "Senior Citizens' Action Together Climate School" graduation ceremony, held on September 29th at the Anyang Senior Welfare Center, concluded successfully. This group environmental education program, which began in August for seniors, aims to promote eco-friendly practices in everyday life and raise awareness of climate crisis responses.

Gyeonggi Provincial Council Member Yoo Young-il (People Power Party, Anyang 5), who attended the event, said, "Environmental issues are challenges that everyone, regardless of age, must address together."
