【브레이크뉴스 경북】박영재 기자=조부모·부모·자녀 세대가 함께하는 ‘제9회 3대 어울림문화축제’가 지난 5일 포항 영일대 해수욕장 누각광장에서 성황리에 열렸다.
경북언론인불자회와 경북사회문화연구소가 공동 주최한 이번 행사는 ‘행복한 포항, 건강한 공동체’를 주제로 세대 간 소통과 가족의 유대 강화를 위해 마련됐다.
이날 행사에는 포항시민과 불자 가족 등 1,000여 명이 참여해 가족 단위 체험과 다양한 공연을 즐겼다. 행사장에는 전통 먹거리와 체험 부스가 운영돼 오색비빔밥, 달고나, 붕어빵, 단주 만들기, 머그컵 제작 등 다양한 프로그램이 큰 인기를 끌었다. 위덕대학교 간호학과 불교학생회는 현장에서 혈압과 혈당 등 무료 건강검진 서비스를 제공해 시민들의 호응을 얻었다.
무대에서는 ‘빅5 가족음악회’가 열려 가수 신승태, 서지오 등이 출연해 축제 분위기를 한껏 돋웠다. 또한 포항불교사암연합회장 덕화 스님은 축사를 통해 “가족이 함께하는 자리가 곧 공동체 회복의 출발점”이라며 “이웃과의 연대, 생명존중의 불교 정신이 지역사회로 확산되길 바란다”고 강조했다.
경북언론인불자회 조인호 회장은 “핵가족화로 단절된 세대 간의 벽을 허물고, 서로를 이해하며 웃는 시간을 만들자는 취지에서 시작된 축제”라며 “앞으로도 가족 중심의 시민문화축제로 발전시켜 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편 ‘3대 어울림문화축제’는 2017년 첫 회를 시작으로 매년 포항에서 열리고 있으며, 세대를 아우르는 문화·체험행사로 자리 잡고 있다.

The "Big 5 Family Concert" was held on stage, featuring singers Shin Seung-tae and Sergio, further enhancing the festive atmosphere. Venerable Deokhwa, president of the Pohang Buddhist Association, delivered a congratulatory address, emphasizing, "Family gatherings are the starting point for community restoration," and adding, "I hope that the Buddhist spirit of solidarity with neighbors and respect for life will spread throughout the local community."
Cho In-ho, president of the Gyeongbuk Journalists and Buddhist Association, stated, "This festival began with the goal of breaking down the generational barriers caused by the rise of nuclear families and creating a time for mutual understanding and laughter. We will continue to develop this festival into a family-centered civic cultural festival."
Meanwhile, the "Three Great Harmony Cultural Festival" has been held annually in Pohang since its inception in 2017, establishing itself as a cultural and experiential event that encompasses all generations.
