대구시교육청, '2025 대구건축비엔날레' 특별전시관 운영

【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청이 오는 11월 5일부터 13일까지 수성못 상화동산에서 열리는 ‘2025 대구건축비엔날레’에 특별전시관을 마련한다. 

이번 전시관에서는 최근 학교공간재구조화 사업을 통해 미래형 교육 공간으로 탈바꿈한 16개 학교의 성과를 시민들에게 선보일 예정이다.

올해 비엔날레는 대구건축문화연합이 주관하며, ‘도시에 상상력을 허하라’를 주제로 개최된다. 대구시교육청은 ‘상상을 현실로 만드는 대구형 미래학교공간’을 전시 콘셉트로 삼아, 혁신된 학교 공간이 학생들의 배움과 일상에 미치는 변화를 집중적으로 조명한다.

전시관에서는 대구교육이 지향하는 미래 비전과 학교공간 혁신 과정을 대형 패널과 영상 콘텐츠로 소개한다. 관람객들은 기존 교실의 틀을 벗어난 열린 학습 공간, 휴식과 토론이 가능한 복합형 공간 등 학생 중심의 학교 모습을 직접 살펴볼 수 있다.

이번 전시에는 최근 재구조화를 마친 초등학교 10곳(테크노, 수창, 대명, 남산, 평리, 만촌, 동부, 화원, 구지, 용계), 중학교 4곳(안심, 평리, 대구북, 대명), 고등학교 2곳(대구공고, 대구제일고) 등 총 16개 학교가 참여한다. 특히 교사, 학생, 학부모가 설계 과정에 직접 참여해 사용자 요구를 적극 반영한 점이 주목된다.

시교육청은 이번 전시를 단순한 시설 개선 사례가 아닌, 미래 역량 교육과 지속 가능한 공동체 교육을 위한 공간 혁신의 결과로 설명했다. 대구형 미래학교 모델이 실제로 어떤 모습으로 구현되는지 시민들이 직접 확인할 수 있는 소중한 자리가 될 전망이다.

강은희 대구시교육감은 “시민들이 추억의 학교가 어떻게 바뀌었는지 직접 체험할 수 있는 뜻깊은 기회”라며 “앞으로도 지역 건축가들과 긴밀하게 협력해 배움과 쉼이 공존하는 미래형 교육환경을 지속적으로 확대하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education will host a special exhibition hall at the "2025 Daegu Architecture Biennale," held at Sanghwa Hill in Suseongmot Lake from November 5th to 13th.

The exhibition hall will showcase the achievements of 16 schools that have recently been transformed into future-oriented educational spaces through school space restructuring projects.

This year's biennale, hosted by the Daegu Architecture and Culture Association, will be held under the theme "Allow Imagination to Embrace the City." The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education will focus on the transformation of innovative school spaces into students' learning and daily lives, emphasizing the exhibition concept of "Daegu-style Future School Spaces: Turning Imagination into Reality."

The exhibition hall will showcase Daegu's future vision for education and the school space innovation process through large panels and video content. Visitors will be able to witness student-centered schools, including open learning spaces that transcend the traditional classroom framework and multi-purpose spaces for relaxation and discussion.

A total of 16 schools are participating in this exhibition, including 10 elementary schools that recently underwent restructuring (Techno, Suchang, Daemyeong, Namsan, Pyeongri, Manchon, Dongbu, Hwawon, Guji, and Yonggye), four middle schools (Ansim, Pyeongri, Daegubuk, and Daemyeong), and two high schools (Daegu Technical High School and Daegu Jeil High School). Notably, teachers, students, and parents were directly involved in the design process, actively incorporating user needs.

The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education described this exhibition as more than just a case study of facility improvement; it was the result of spatial innovation for future competency education and sustainable community education. It is expected to be a valuable opportunity for citizens to witness firsthand how the Daegu-style future school model is being implemented.

Daegu Metropolitan Superintendent of Education Kang Eun-hee stated, "This is a meaningful opportunity for citizens to experience firsthand how the schools of their memories have been transformed. We will continue to collaborate closely with local architects to continuously expand future-oriented educational environments where learning and rest coexist."
