간담회를 제안한 윤권근 의원은 “대구FC가 시민의 신뢰를 회복하고 경쟁력을 되찾으려면 운영 전반에 대한 근본적인 점검이 필요하다”며 “현장의 목소리를 중심으로 구단이 다시 도약할 수 있는 현실적인 방안을 찾기 위한 자리”라고 설명했다.
이날 회의는 자유토론 형식으로 진행됐다. 사회문제해결연구회 소속 시의원을 비롯해 대구시 관계부서, 지역 체육단체, 대구FC 관계자, 서포터즈 등이 참석해 구단 운영상의 문제점과 개선 방안에 대해 의견을 나눴다.
윤 의원은 “지금은 단기 처방이 아닌 근본적인 체질 개선이 필요한 시점”이라며, “오늘 나온 다양한 의견을 바탕으로 구단 운영 정상화와 재도약 방안이 빠른 시일 내에 마련되길 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
