국가 미래에 분명한 적색 경고등이 켜졌다. '일자리 밖'에서 배회하는 20·30세대 실업률이 4년만에 다시 증가한 것으로 집계됐다. 이는 올 11월 기준, 무려 160만 명에 육박하는 것으로 코로나19 시절인 2021년 이후 연속 감소하다가 올해 들어 다시 증가한 것이어서 예사롭지 않다.
국가데이터처 발표에 따르면, 20·30세대 비경제활동인구 또는 실업자 중 일을 하려는 의향이 있는데도 일자리 밖에 내몰려 있는 인원이 작년보다 2만8천명 늘어난 것으로 나타났다. 더욱이 구직활동을 하지 않는 등 '그냥 쉬는' 20·30도 2003년 통계 이후 최대치여서 그 심각성은 더한다.
특히 사회적 적응기를 거쳐 의욕적으로 일할 시기인 30~34세 연령에서 일자리를 구하지 못한 채 서성이는 사람이 늘고 있다는 점이다. 결혼 적령기 등을 감안할 때 출산율 감소와도 직결될 수 있는 사안이어서 매우 우울하다. 당사자 뿐만 아니라 국가적으로도 큰 손실이 아닐 수 없다.
취업이 어려운 탓에 20·30 소득은 줄어드는 반면 고물가에 따른 지갑은 비고 있다. 이를 방증하듯 2022년 3분기 이후 3년 만에 ‘여윳돈’도 줄었다. 올 3분기 39세 이하 가구주 월평균 흑자액이 1년 전보다 2.7% 감소했으며, 이는 전체 가구주 흑자액 12.2% 증가와는 극명히 대조된다.
결국 저축 또는 투자 등에 활용할 수 있는 돈이 매말라서 자산을 불리기 어렵게 된다. 그로인한 생애 소득 감소는 노후생활 준비를 비롯한 모든 면에서 삶의 질 저하로 이어질 개연성이 높다. 최근 불거진 캄보디아 스캠범죄 사태를 통해 읽을 수 있듯 한탕주의를 부추기는 요인이 될 수 있다는 점에서도 위태롭다.
그런데도 이재명 정권은 연신 내란몰이에만 광분한다. 자기 편이 아니거나, 견해가 다른 사람은 좌표를 찍어 비방하는 등 현직에서 몰아내기에 급급한 모양새다. 이를테면 전체주의적 발상의 일극독재, 하지만 종국엔 자신들 발등을 찍게 되리란 점을 시급히 깨달을 수 있어야 한다.

According to the National Data Agency, the number of economically inactive or unemployed people in their 20s and 30s who are willing to work but are forced out of work increased by 28,000 compared to last year. Furthermore, the number of people in their 20s and 30s who are "just resting," not seeking employment, is the highest since 2003, adding to the severity of the situation.
In particular, the number of people in their 30s and 34s, who are typically the prime age for social adaptation and motivated to work, is increasing, struggling to find work. Considering the prime marriageable age, this issue is deeply depressing, as it could directly impact the declining birth rate. This represents a significant loss not only for the individuals involved but also for the nation.
Due to the difficulty in finding employment, incomes for those in their 20s and 30s are decreasing, while high inflation is emptying their wallets. As evidence of this, "spare money" has also decreased for the first time in three years since the third quarter of 2022. The average monthly surplus for households aged 39 and under in the third quarter of this year decreased by 2.7% compared to the previous year, a stark contrast to the 12.2% increase in the surplus for all households.
Ultimately, the funds available for savings or investments are drying up, making it difficult to increase assets. The resulting decline in lifetime income is highly likely to lead to a deterioration in quality of life in all areas, including retirement planning. Despite this, the Lee Jae-myung administration remains obsessed with inciting civil unrest. They appear eager to oust anyone who isn't on their side or holds differing views, targeting and slandering them. They are, in effect, pursuing a totalitarian, dictatorial approach. However, they must urgently recognize that this will ultimately come back to bite them.
