이재명 대통령이 23일 "업무 보고를 6개월 뒤 다시 시작하겠다”며 “일정 기간 후 실제 업무가 어떻게 달라졌는지 다시 확인하겠다는 취지”라고 했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오후 부산 동구 해양수산부 청사에서 열린 올해 마지막 업무 보고 모두 발언에서 “국정이 어떻게 굴러가는지 국민에 보여주는 과정이자 공직자들이 주인인 국민 앞에서 책임을 다하는지 확인하는 장치”라며 이같이 주장했다.
그러면서 “단순히 실무자에 맡겨두는 관행을 넘어 조직 전체가 토론·수정·제안하는 역동적 운영이 필요하다”며 "이번에 처음이라 어색했겠지만 6개월 뒤 다른 방식으로 점검하겠다”고 했다.
또 "지금까지 예상된 방향으로 하면 잘 안 되고, 예상 문제가 잘 안 통하는 대신 아주 상식적"이라며 "자기가 하던 일을 최소한 관심 갖고 파악하고 자기가 책임지면 되는 것"이라고 했다.
이어 "국민들에 보고한다는 의미도 있으며 한편으로 내부 업무 보고란게 과거에 형식적으로 했던 것 같다"며 "적당히 일처리 한다든지 최고 책임자·조직 최종 책임자들이 그 자리서 얻게되는 권위·명예·이익·혜택만 누리고 갖고 있는 본질적 책임·역할을 제대로 안 하는 건 눈 뜨고 못 봐주겠다"고 덧붙였다.
