<브레이크뉴스 의정부=이용하 기자>의정부시 신곡1동주민센터가 주민들과 머리를 맞대고 지난 성과를 점검하며, 2026년 더 살기 좋은 동네를 만들기 위한 소통의 시간을 가졌다.
신곡1동은 지난 19일 지역 주민과 김동근 의정부시장을 비롯해 도·시의원 등 100여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘2026년도 주요업무보고회’를 성황리에 개최했다고 20일 밝혔다.
이번 보고회는 딱딱한 행정 보고에서 벗어나 주민과 동 행정 운영 방향을 공유하고, 현장의 생생한 목소리를 직접 청취하기 위해 마련됐다.

신곡1동은 우선 2025년의 주요 성과로 ▲주민 불편을 선제적으로 해결한 ‘현장 로드체킹’ ▲주민센터 1층을 열린 휴식처로 탈바꿈시킨 ‘마주쉼터 조성’ 등을 꼽았다. 이외에도 중랑천 노란코스모스길 조성, 단풍잎 놀이터 리모델링, 버스 노선 개선 및 주차 공간 확보 등 생활 밀착형 성과들이 주민들의 큰 호응을 얻었다.

이어 발표된 2026년 운영 계획에서는 ‘숲·정원·이동·지속’을 4대 핵심 키워드로 제시했다. 주요 사업으로는 추동숲정원 및 음악정원 조성 등 녹지 인프라 확충과 함께, 주민들의 발이 되어줄 ‘의정부 도심 순환버스’ 신설 계획이 공개되어 지역 변화에 대한 기대감을 높였다.
보고회에 참석한 김동근 시장은 주민들과의 자유로운 질의응답을 통해 지역 현안을 직접 챙겼으며, 제기된 건의사항들을 시정에 적극 반영할 것을 약속했다.
