【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대한적십자사 대구지사(회장 배인호)는 지난 20일, 이준영 대구고등검찰청 행정관이 10년간 꾸준한 기부와 나눔 활동을 이어온 공로를 인정받아 ‘적십자 회원유공장 금장’을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

이준영 행정관은 군 복무 중 훈련 중 부상을 입어 국가유공자로 지정된 이후, 국가로부터 받은 혜택의 일부를 사회에 환원하고자 2016년부터 대한적십자사 정기후원을 시작했다. 매월 3만 원으로 시작한 후원은 점차 증액돼 현재는 매월 7만 원을 기부하고 있으며, 10년간 누적 기부금은 약 500만 원에 달한다.
기부뿐만 아니라 생명 나눔 실천에도 앞장서 왔다. 고등학교 1학년 때 첫 헌혈을 시작한 그는 현재까지 총 305회 헌혈에 참여해 ‘헌혈 유공자 최고명예대장’을 수상했다. 또한 한국백혈병소아암협회 환자들을 위해 헌혈증 200장을 기부했으며, 향후 추가로 100장을 더 기부할 계획이다.
이 행정관은 헌혈 문화 확산을 위해 대구경북헌혈봉사회 회원으로도 활동하며 헌혈 참여 독려와 나눔 실천에 적극 동참하고 있다. 그는 건강이 허락하는 한 앞으로도 헌혈과 봉사회 활동을 지속해 나갈 뜻을 밝혔다.
이준영 행정관은 “나눔은 특별한 결심이 아니라 일상에서 내가 할 수 있는 만큼 최선을 다하는 것”이라며 “눈에 띄지 않더라도 도움이 필요한 이웃을 위해 기부와 헌혈, 봉사를 꾸준히 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
배인호 대한적십자사 대구지사 회장은 “이준영 행정관이 보여준 기부와 나눔은 우리 사회를 조용히 지탱하는 큰 힘”이라며 “선한 영향력으로 이웃과 사회를 밝히는 모습에 깊이 감사드리며, 이러한 나눔 문화가 지역사회 전반으로 확산되길 기대한다”고 전했다.
