14일 더불어민주당 경기도당 공천관리위원회는 가평군수 후보자 선출을 위한 당내 경선 결과, 김경호 예비후보가 송기욱 예비후보를 꺾고 최종 공천을 받았다고 밝혔다.
이번 경선은 지난 4월 13일부터 14일까지 양일간 진행되었으며, 경선 결과에 따라 김경호 후보가 더불어민주당의 가평군수 후보표를 거머쥐며 본선 무대에 오르게 됐다.
이로써 더불어민주당은 가평군수 선거를 위한 후보 공천을 매듭짓고, 본격적인 지방선거 체제에 돌입할 전망이다.
