오성규 전 서울시장 비서실장은 29일 “고 박원순 시장에 대한 고소 사건' 등 경찰조사 결과 발표에 대한 입장”이란 개인 성명을 발표했다.
이 입장문에서 “경찰 조사에 의해 고소인 측의 주장이 거짓이거나, 억지 고소·고발이었다는 점이 확인되었다. 경찰은 고 박원순 시장 관련 사건을 6개월 가량 조사하였고 오늘 그에 따른 결과를 발표하였다. 경찰은 서울시 전·현직 직원들이 성추행 사실을 알고도 묵인했다는 고소인 측 진술에 따라 참고인 26명과 피고발인 5명을 조사했다. 고소인과 피고발인 또는 참고인들의 대질 조사까지 진행했지만, 혐의점을 밝혀낼 수 없었다는 것이 경찰 측 설명이다. 이에 따라 7월9일부터 지금까지 태산이 떠나갈 듯 나라를 요동치게 했던 충격은 고소·고발인, 고소인 측 변호인, 그리고 일부 여성단체들의 억지 고소·고발과 거짓 주장이 진원이라는 것이 경찰조사에 의해 확인되었다. 앞으로 국가인권위원회의 조사 결과 발표에서도 이런 진실이 재확인될 것이라 믿으며, 검찰 수사에서도 진실이 더욱 공고해지기를 기대한다”면서 “방조를 기정사실화해서 공개적으로 허위사실을 주장한 세력에 엄중한 책임을 묻는다. 고소·고발인, 고소인측 변호인, 일부 여성단체는 박원순 시장 사망 이후 20여 명의 전·현직 비서실 직원들에게 성폭력의 ‘묵인 방조범’이라는 사회적 낙인을 찍었다. 그 가혹한 낙인 아래서 전·현직 비서실 직원들은 피고발인 혹은 참고인으로 경찰 수사와 국가인권위원회 조사를 받으며 피눈물 나는 고통을 겪었다. 고소·고발인, 고소인 측 변호인, 일부 여성단체의 거짓 주장은 비서진과 행정공무원 다수에게 회복할 수 없는 명예훼손을 한 폭력행위이다. 아울러 고인이 되신 박원순 시장과 유족들에 대한 명예훼손이기도 하다. 따라서 방조를 기정사실화해서 공개적으로 허위사실을 주장한 사람과 조직에 대해서는 엄중한 법적책임을 물을 것”이라고 밝혔다.
