유학파 브레인으로 노동운동에 심혈을 기울여온 김선목 한국인재개발원 교수가 한국전문언론인협회가 선정하는 2021혁신리더에 선정됐다. 김선목 한국인재개발원 교수는 건설회사 해외 법인장으로 오랫동안 국제무대에서 활동하다가 귀국 후 노동계에 관심을 갖게 됐다.
한국 노동운동의 현실에 심각한 문제점을 느낀 그는 새로운 차원의 노조문화를 개척해야겠다는 결심을 하게 됐다고 한다.
“근로자의 단 5%에 불과한 양대 노총이 노동자들의 권익을 충분히 대변하지 못한다고 느끼면서 노동자가 진정한 주인이 되는 (가칭)전국노동자총연맹을 설립하겠다는 강한 마음으로 중지를 모으고 추진하고 있습니다. 새로운 단체를 통해 진정한 노동운동을 펼치고자 합니다.”
노동계에서는 새로운 차원의 노조문화를 개척하겠다는 김선목 교수의 행보에 지대한 관심을 보내고 있다.

Kim Seon-mok, a professor at the Korea Human Resources Development Institute, who has devoted his heart to the labor movement with a study abroad brain, was selected as a 2021 innovation leader selected by the Korea Professional Journalists Association. Kim Sun-mok, a professor at the Korea Human Resources Development Institute, has been working on the international stage for a long time as the head of a construction company overseas, and after returning home, he became interested in the labor world. Feeling a serious problem with the reality of the Korean labor movement, he said that he decided to pioneer a new level of union culture.
“The two major unions, which account for only 5% of the workers, feel that they cannot sufficiently represent the rights and interests of workers, and they are pursuing with a strong desire to establish the (tentative name) National Federation of Workers' Federations, where workers become the true owners. We want to launch a genuine labor movement through a new organization.”
