한국수력원자력(주) 한울원자력본부(본부장 박범수, 이하 한울본부)는 지난 27일 한울1호기를 대상으로 방사선비상사고 발생에 대비한 ‘국가 방사능방재 연합훈련’을 실시했다고 28일 밝혔다.

한울본부에 따르면 방사능방재 연합훈련은 ‘원자력시설 등의 방호 및 방사능방재대책법’에 따라 원전 본부별로 5년마다 시행하는 정부 주관 국가단위 최대 종합훈련으로, 방사선비상사고 발생 시 사고를 조기에 수습하여 국민의 생명과 재산을 보호하고 환경에미치는 방사선영향을 최소화하기 위한 목적으로 실시한다.
이번 연합훈련에는 원자력안전위원회·행정안전부 등 정부 부처, 경상북도, 울진군 등 지자체와 군·경·소방·교육청 등 기관 관계자가 참여했다.
