아이돌 가수 임영민의 팬카페 ‘포인세티아’가 겨울철 난방비를 후원하고자 희망브리지 전국재해구호협회(회장 송필호)에 성금 500만원을 기부했다.
이번 성금은 올해 초 실시된 재난 위기가정 캠페인을 통해 희망브리지에 꾸준히 후원하고 있는 포인세티아 정기후원자의 기금과 일시후원이 더해져 마련됐다.
성금은 서대문구 개미마을 주민들에게 연탄과 등유를 지원하기 위해 사용된다.
‘포인세티아’ 관계자는 “추운 겨울 어려움에 처한 이웃들이 조금이나마 따뜻하게 보내는 데 보탬이 되길 바란다”고 전했다.
재난 구호모금 전문기관인 희망브리지 전국재해구호협회는 1961년 전국의 신문사와 방송사, 사회단체가 힘을 모아 설립한 순수 민간단체이자 국내 자연재해 피해 구호금을 지원할 수 있는 유일한 법정 구호단체다.
60년 동안 1조5천억 원의 성금과 5천만 점 넘는 구호물품을 지원했다. 특히 지난해 코로나19 극복 성금 1천8억 원을 모금해 3천1백만 점 가까운 물품을 방역 취약계층과 의료진, 치료시설 입소자 등에게 전달했다.
