울진군은 17일 군청 대회의실에서 경상북도 환동해지역본부와‘해양 분야 현안사업 유관기관 간담회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 간담회에는 울진군 관계자를 비롯해 환동해지역본부, 한국농어촌공사, 한국해양과학기술원 동해연구소, 환동해산업연구원, 해양환경공단 등 유관기관 관계자 20여 명이 참석했다.
간담회는 울진군에서 추진하는 울진해양치유센터 조성사업, 권역별 해양바이오거점 조성사업 등 해양 분야 현안사업을 경북도와 유관기관과 공유하고 울진군 미래 신성장 산업의 발전 방향과 정책제안 및 의견 등을 수렴하기 위하여 마련됐다.
특히, 군은 역점사업으로 추진 중인 해양치유센터 조성사업의 중간설계에 대한 의견을 청취하고 해양치유센터 프로그램 및 운영 방안 등을 중간 점검하는 시간을 가졌다.
김상덕 원전미래전략실장은 “앞으로 완공될 해양치유센터 등 미래신성장 동력사업이 울진군의 랜드마크는 물론 동해안을 넘어서 대한민국의 해양신산업을 대표하는 곳으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
