울진군, 봄철 산불예방에 총력대응

울진군은 대형 산불을 예방하고 산불 초동진화 태세 확립 등 산불진화 체계를 재정비하여 산불 발생 차단에 총력대응한다고 2일 밝혔다.

앞서 군은 산불전문예방진화대의 근무환경 개선으로 산불진화의 신속성과 전문성을 확보하기 위하여 산불대응센터를 신축하였으며, 2022년 산불진화대원 49명, 읍면 산불감시원 121명을 고용하여 울진군 전역을 대상으로 산불예방 홍보 및 주민계도를 위해 노력하고 있다.

한편, 대형 산불 예방의 가장 중요한 요소인 초동진화체계를 구축하기 위하여 매주 산불진화대 진화훈련 및 산불진화장비 점검은 물론, 산불취약지역 내 산불감시원 배치 및 순찰을 강화하고 산불감시원 책임담당구역에서 산불 발생 시 해당 감시원에 대해서는 원스트라이크 아웃제를 적용하여 산불의 위험성과 감시활동의 중요성을 인식시켜 산불 예방에 대응하고 있다.

아울러 울진군은 소각 산불의 발생 가능성을 낮추기 위해 마을 단위 영농잔재물 공동 파쇄 사업을 지난 12월부터 2월 25일까지 추진하였으며, 그 결과 총 1077농가, 715t의 영농부산물을 파쇄하여 산림 인접지 불씨취급 등으로 인한 산불 위험 요인이 크게 감소하였다.

앞으로도 군은 산불 초동진화를 최우선 과제로 삼고 산불진화의 신속성과 효율성을 극대화하기 위하여 유관기관과 유기적인 협조체계를 강화하고, 군민을 대상으로 지속적인 산불예방 홍보활동을 펼칠 계획이다.
