청학산업(대표 육만수)가 경북 울진‧강원 삼척 등 산불 피해지역 이재민을 위해 희망브리지 전국재해구호협회(회장 송필호)에 1억원을 기부했다.
희망브리지는 청학산업이 이번 산불로 주택 소실 등 피해를 입은 이재민의 생계 지원과 지역회복 사업에 사용해달라며 1억원을 맡겨왔다고 11일 밝혔다.
산림청장 지정 독림가(篤林家)이자 청학육만수장학재단의 설립 이사장이기도 한 청학산업 육만수 회장은 “경북 상주에 임야를 소유‧관리하고 있어 이번 산불이 남 일 같지 않다”며 “산림복구와 이재민들의 일상 회복에 조금이라도 도움이 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.
육 회장은 본인이 설립한‘청학육만수장학재단’을 통해 19년 동안 매년 1억원씩을 장학재단에 기부해 왔고, 국내외 각종 큰 사고 때마다 별도의 기부활동을 지속해오고 있다.
울진 산불 현장에서 지원 활동을 펼친 희망브리지 김정희 사무총장은 “갑작스러운 화마로 삶의 터전을 잃은 이재민들이 청학산업을 비롯한 많은 기업과 시민들의 따뜻한 손길을 통해 하루빨리 다시 일어설 수 있도록 최선을 다해 돕겠다”고 말했다.
희망브리지는 이날 오전까지 재해구호물자 450세트, 6천525점을 비롯해 모포, 간식, 생필품, 의류, 세면용품, 간이침대 등 구호물품 24만1천198점을 이재민과 진화 관계자들에게 전했다. 앞으로도 △인명·주택 피해 지원 △식료품·의류·침구를 비롯한 생활필수품 전달 △임시주거시설 제공 △코로나19 방역 △이재민 심리 회복 등에 성금을 사용할 계획이다.

Cheonghak Industrial Co., Ltd. Chairman Yuk Man-su, who is designated by the head of the Korea Forest Service as an independent family and is also the founding chairman of the Cheonghak Yukmansu Scholarship Foundation, said, “This forest fire is unlike anything else because it owns and manages a forest in Sangju, Gyeongsangbuk-do. I hope it will be of some help to you,” he said.
Chairman Yuk has donated 100 million won each year to the scholarship foundation for 19 years through the ‘Chunghak Yukmansu Scholarship Foundation,’ which he established.
Kim Jeong-hee, secretary-general of Hope Bridge, who volunteered at the Uljin wildfire site, said, “I will do my best to help the victims who lost their homes due to a sudden fire to get back up as soon as possible through the warm hands of many businesses and citizens including Cheonghak Industry. ” he said.
By this morning, Hope Bridge delivered 450 sets of disaster relief supplies, 6,525 pieces, as well as 241,198 relief items such as blankets, snacks, daily necessities, clothing, toiletries, and extra beds to victims and firefighters. In the future, the donation will be used for △ support for damage to lives and housing △ delivery of daily necessities including food, clothing, and bedding △ provision of temporary housing △ prevention of Corona 19 △ psychological recovery of victims.
